Together with the NSW Government, Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA) NSW is providing training opportunities connected to jobs in the Community Housing Industry through its Cadetship Program. This exciting program provides an opportunity for cadets to study the CHC42221 Certificate IV in Housing and undertake paid employment for 12-months in application/allocation, tenancy and asset development with a Community Housing Provider.

Interested in becoming a Cadet in 2027?
Applications for the 2026 Cadetship Program have now closed.
If you are interested in a cadetship in 2027, applications will open in September or October 2026; and close in October or November 2026. Until then, you can:

Expressions of Interest from Community Housing Providers (CHPs) for the 2026 Cadetship Program have now closed.
Expressions of Interest for 2027 will open in October 2026. Until then, you can:
